Microsoft launches its next-generation cloud platform, SmartGlassSource Reuters title Windows 10, Windows 10 Home and the future of cloud services for businesses

Microsoft has launched its next generation of cloud-based services for business customers, starting with SmartGlass.

The company says the software-as-a-service (SaaS) software for Windows 10 is the first of its kind to offer cloud services as a service (SAP).

SmartGlass provides a “new approach” to business cloud management, Microsoft says.

It lets users monitor and control the cloud services they have on-premises without having to install additional software.

The software uses Microsoft Azure, a cloud computing service from Microsoft that offers virtual and physical resources for the company’s data centers, as well as the Azure infrastructure to host Azure.

The service is compatible with Microsoft Office 365 and Office 365 Business Premium.

The software, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said at a keynote in San Francisco on Tuesday, is “the future of Microsoft cloud.”

Microsoft, Microsoft Ventures and investors including Benchmark Capital are all investing in the company.

The company says its SmartGlass software is now available to customers in North America and Latin America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.

Microsoft also says the service will be available in Europe in the second half of 2018.
