Microsoft’s Surface 3 is one of the best selling Windows 8 tablets ever, and the company is giving it away free to anyone who preorders the device.
But it’s not just anyone who can snag the Surface 3.
The company is also giving away the device to everyone who preordered the Surface Pro 3 and Surface Book 2, as well as people who preorder the Surface Book 3 and the Surface Studio 2.
If you want to preorder both the Surface 2 and Surface 3, the company has set up an online coupon code that you can use to get them for free.
The coupon code will be sent to your email inbox, and you’ll need to sign up for Microsoft’s online Microsoft Rewards program.
Microsoft said it will send out the coupons to all preorders between December 20 and December 22, with the deadline for qualifying orders to be set at midnight ET on Monday, December 23.
The coupons can be redeemed for Microsoft Points or for a free Surface Pro or Surface Book for one month from December 21 to December 22.
Microsoft is also encouraging people to share the coupon on social media with the hashtag #GetTheSurface3 and the hashtag “#Surface4Free,” and you can see the coupons in action below.
If the coupon code doesn’t work for you, the Microsoft Rewards website will not redeem your coupon, but you can still use the coupon in your Microsoft Rewards account to receive a $30 gift card.
If Microsoft is selling you a Surface 3 or Surface Pro 4, it’s also giving you a free USB Type-C charging cable.
Microsoft also said that anyone who purchased the Surface RT 4G in the United States or Canada can get the free USB-C cable as well.
If that sounds like you, Microsoft is also offering the free Surface 3 in an upgraded version of its Surface Book line.
That will come with the Surface Pen and the stylus, and it’s only $100 off.
The company said it would make a limited number of Surface 3s available to customers who order the Surface Dock.
The Surface 3 and 3 Pro will also be available as a $50 upgrade.
Both the Surface and 3 will be available in white, black, silver, or rose gold, depending on the country in which you live.
